I was on an international flight earlier in the week and was greeted by a smile, something I don’t always expect any longer from cabin crew.
What a difference a smile makes, especially accompanied by a service mentality.
I noticed other passengers also reacted positively to “the smile”.
A smile is infectious. It makes both the giver and receiver feel uplifted. Moreover, it is the same in all languages!
For any business, especially in a service industry, it must be the one of the most efficient ways to enhance business – teach staff to smile. Smile and see the difference on the bottom line.
With a good smile and a service attitude, many small inefficiencies can be forgiven.
A little Internet research showed me that a smile certainly is an
asset, both personally and professionally.
Last but not least, smiling is transmittable – try it!
By way of summary, I complimented the woman with the lovely smile and it truly made her day – testament to the positive benefits of a smile.
